The Herald composed a ballet of the same name (literally: the forest Sleeping beauty — La Belle au bois dormant), on a libretto by Eugene scribe. This ballet premiered at the Paris Opera on 27 April 1829 staged by the ballet master J.-P. Omer with the participation of Maria Taglioni, Liz noble, etc.
